True Blood has new law among its ranks. Actor Arliss Howard has joined the sixth season of the HBO show as a series regular. He will play Louisiana governor Truman Burrell, "a good ol’ boy politician who has a major beef with vampires ever since his wife ran off with one, leaving him as a single father to their only daughter. Politically savvy and perhaps overly ambitious, Truman tends to let his personal aspirations overshadow his humanity."
Howard's 30+ year career includes roles in Full Metal Jacket, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Natural Born Killers, and Awake. Season six of True Blood bows this summer on HBO.
