Is a werewolf stalking the Brazilian town of São Gonçalo de Campos? Local authorities may (unofficially) think so – especially after the release of this security camera footage, which suggests the dark outline of a man-sized beast walking on all fours in someone's backyard.
According to the blog Skeptophilia, the creature was first sighted by a man calling himself “Pingo,” who claimed to have barely escaped with his life when the creature ran after him. He was ridiculed by his neighbors at first... until they began to report monster sightings of their own. Soon the word “werewolf” was being whispered around the neighborhood, and local officials even issued a 9 PM curfew in the town in response to the increase in sightings.
Some have speculated after viewing this clip that the “monster” is merely a man in a suit. But until more conclusive results can be produced, the case remains open. Take a look for yourself:
