While Capcom has finally released a major reboot of their classic game franchise Devil May Cry (check out our review here), the story doesn't end with the game. Over the years, the four previous DMC games have spun off into loads of other media, including graphic novels and an anime series. Now Titan Comics has announced the launch of DmC Devil May Cry: The Vergil Chronicles, a comic book series that expands on the reboot's storyline.
The Vergil Chronicles puts the focus on the characters of Vergil and Kat, beginning with two prequel issues written by Guillaume Dorison (alias “Izu,” whose credits include Omega Complex) and illustrated by Robin Recht (The Third Testament) and Patrick Pion (Tomb Raider: Dark Aeons).
The first of these two issues is out now in digital format (iPad, iPhone, Web, Android and Kindle Fire) through comiXology.com and their mobile app. The print versions will arrive in comic stores this spring: Issue #1 on May 15th and #2 on June 19th. Drop by Titan Comics.com for more info.
