Ah, imaginary friends. We all had them when we were kids. But why? Is it merely because kids have vivid imaginations? Or is the explanation a little more complex than that? Could it be that children are for whatever reason more in tune with the paranormal than adults, and that imaginary friends are actually spirits of the departed? A frightening thought, isn't it?

A handful of pages from a child's diary have been making their way around the internet this week, which we initially spotted over on the website Quick Meme. The pages tell the tale of a young girl with a particularly creepy looking imaginary friend, and as the story goes on, the reality of the situation becomes more and more horrifying. Named Lisa, the little girl's imaginary friend looks to be covered in blood, and the story reads like the plot of a nightmare-inducing horror flick.
