Last month we premiered the lyric video for “The Crazies (The Zombie Song)” from industrial metal supergroup Beauty In The Suffering – the brainchild of Marazene's DieTrich Thrall, featuring members of American Head Charge, Genitorturers, Dope, Skinlab and more – and now the band has followed up with a visual mini-epic that lets you experience the zombie apocalypse through the eyes of the undead.
Directed by Jonathan Shahan and Mike Walsh, who employ a chilling, desaturated color scheme, the full-footage video for "The Crazies" (which premiered last week on Bloody Disgusting) focuses on an intense performance by the band disrupted by a horde of zombies, who have much more than moshing on their minds.
“Visualizing the music for Beauty In The Suffering has been a primary goal of this project from day one,” says Thrall. “For my band's first videos it just so happens the first couple of songs took a zombie apocalypse turn. But whether the setting is that of a dystopian future, or focuses on interpersonal pain from the present or demons from the past, my goal has and will always be to enhance the musical experience through a cinematic approach.”
