The brain-child of UK-based filmmaker Melanie Light, the Women in Horror Calendar is a year-long celebration of the artists, actresses and talented ladies that dominate the horror scene, each month shining the spotlight on the women who unfortunately only seem to get recognized one month out of every year - February being 'Women in Horror Month.' The Woman's Pollyanna McIntosh, Hellraiser's Barbie Wilde and taxidermy artist Tessa Farmer are just a few of the lovely ladies that fill out the calendar, the focus being placed on their talents rather than their bodies - refreshing, to say the least.
All proceeds from the sale of the calendars will be split between the charities Rape Crisis England and the Sophie Lancaster Foundation, which are dedicated to providing support for victims of rape and abuse.
