Well before Ronald DeFeo Jr. shot and killed his entire family as they slept in their Amityville, Long Island home, Lizzie Borden shattered the idea that you're safe in your own home, amongst your own family members, when she brutally killed her father and stepmother in 1892. The vicious axe-murders took place in the Borden family home in Fall River, Massachusetts, which has naturally become a destination spot for tourists with a flair for the macabre.
Hot on the heels of the announcement that Christina Ricci will be playing Lizzie Borden in an upcoming LIfetime biopic, the website Roadtrippers reports that the infamous Borden house is now the sight of a quaint little bed and breakfast, which is taking reservations for nightly stays and even full-on 'Axe-periences,' allowing guests and their friends to rent out the entire building. In poor taste? Possibly. But I can't deny that I just added this one to my bucket list.
You can book reservations and even watch a live 'Ghost Cam' over on the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast Museum website.
